It is almost a year when Wilmer Valderrama and fiancée Amanda Pacheco enjoy their parenthood.
Wilmer Valderrama and Amanda Pacheco welcomed their first child, a daughter named Nakano Oceana Valderrama, on February 15, 2021. The actor has gained some wisdom since that time.
He says that because you have a child does not mean the relationship between parents has to fall by the wayside.
During an interview with ‘Parents, he told Amanda,’ “The baby is our priority, but you are mine. They tell you, ‘It’s all about the baby,’ but when you are both with the baby, you can forget about each other and lose yourself there.”
It is one reason they put Nakano to sleep after she wasn’t a newborn anymore. The actor said he “felt bad” about letting their daughter cry a bit. He eventually called her “empowering.”
Wilmer explained, “Why? When you have a baby who sleeps through the night, staying connected is a lot easier. It allows you to focus on your partner.”
He said, “Your job as a partner is not just to be there. There are a million things to be done while your partner is nursing. If you are not doing anything, you are not doing enough. There are a million things to be done while your partner is nursing: Get the baby, change the baby, burp the baby, track the feeding, and keep the mommy hydrated, fed, and rested.”
