Taco Bell has a reputation as being the healthiest fast food option in the United States, but that doesn’t mean that there are menu items that are super loaded with carbs and cheesy goodness. Their newest creation is called rattlesnake nacho fries, which are fully loaded nachos combined with fries.
This new menu item will only be available for a limited time, and is a new spicy snack added to the menu. The rattlesnake nacho fries include a crispy bed of french fries, topped with juicy steak and nacho cheese sauce. There are also sliced pickled jalapeno pieces as well as creamy jalapeno sauce to add to the creamy deliciousness.
This menu item was originally tested back in August, and was enough of a success that the nacho fries will be expanding to all other areas of the country at the end of February. Fans eager to try the new nacho fries can order them at all Taco Bell locations when they release on February 28. Also, in addition to the nationwide release, Grubhub is partnering with Taco Bell to offer free delivery until the middle of March.
Taco Bell is selling these spicy fries for $2.99, which come in a bowl like nachos or customers can order the new rattlesnake nacho fries in burrito form. It’s unclear for how long this menu item will be available since it tested well in small markets. It does seem that the expansion of the rattlesnake nacho fries means that this new menu item will remain on Taco Bell’s menu for the foreseeable future.
While fans of hot and spicy foods can rejoice at this new menu item, the eating of spicy foods in mass quantity can wreak havoc on your digestion and most health professionals recommend against it. So Taco Bell fans can enjoy these rattlesnake nacho fries in moderation.
