- 1 Can Cherry Pie Filling

Here are the directions you need to follow to complete this recipe and make this cheesecake:
First, you need to prepare all of ingredients beforehand so you can just assemble the cheesecake. Then, combine all of the chocolate cookie crumbs, sugar and melted butter together in a small bowl. This should take a few minutes and you know it will be done when the mixture has formed similar to a dough.
Now, you need to use your hands or a spatula to press the cookie crumbs mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Next, you want to refrigerate this mixture for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl with a mixer, cream the cream cheese until smooth, about 2 minutes.
Slowly add the powdered sugar and beat the mixture until combined.
Mix in the sour cream and vanilla.
Add the cooled chocolate and whip until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Spread half the cheesecake filling evenly over the prepared crust.
Spoon over the cherry pie filling evenly over the cheesecake layer.
Spread the rest of the cheesecake filling carefully and evenly over the cherry pie filling.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
Before serving garnish with chocolate curls, whipping cream and maraschino cherries, if desired.
