Hershey’s Chocolate World Opens a New Attraction

Chocolate is one of the most popular and beloved desserts in the world, and there is even an entire amusement park dedicated to Hershey’s chocolate. Located in Hershey, Pennslyvania, this amusement park features everything from rollercoasters to one of a kind chocolate making for hours and hours of fun.

Now, Hershey’s Chocolate World is opening a brand new attraction just in time for summer. Hershey’s Chocolate World already includes popular attractions like a 4D Chocolate Movie, Create Your Own Candy Bar, and Hershey’s Chocolate Tour ride.

The new attraction for the summer of 2019 is Hershey’s Unwrapped, which is described as “an immersive, interactive experience designed to take visitors on a behind-the-scenes chocolate tasting adventure. The attraction officially opened on May 20, and will be around for the foreseeable future.

In a press release, Suzanne Jones, Vice President of the Hershey Experience said, “For our guests, the standard for a new attraction is high. That’s why I’m so excited about Hershey’s Unwrapped. This experience will truly exceed those high expectations.”

The admission to Hershey’s Unwrapped will be $15.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids.  However, any children 2 and under are free, and the entrance to Hershey’s Unwrapped is located just outside of Hershey Park.

The new attraction, Hershey’s Unwrapped, is a completely family-friendly activity for all ages. The experience starts off with a theatrical show hosted by a nutty professor. Then, guests are shown how to uses their senses most efficiently (smelling, viewing and tasting chocolate during the chocolate making process).

Up next is a meeting with Doc Chocolate, a seasoned chocolatier with a wealth of Hershey’s chocolate knowledge. Doc Chocolate then leads guests through a series of delicious experiments in a secret chocolate lab, and this is the interactive chocolate tasting part of the experience, with a whole variety of Hershey’s chocolate candies.
