Ellie Goulding Explain About Her Struggle With Anxiety Last Year

Ellie confesses about her mental health in the New Year.

Ellie had experienced a lot of blissful moments in 2021, like giving birth to her first child, Arthur Ever Winter Jopling, releasing her first book in April, and performing at a Christmas concert for Kate Middleton and Prince William.

She shares in an Instagram post about her confession to struggling with anxiety and “the very best” year of her life.

Ellie posted, “This year has been the hardest of my life. I have struggled daily, nightly, hourly with a kind of panic I didn’t even know existed. It is the best moment; being in front of all is the most exhilarating and calming as I was struggling this year.”

Ellie said her anxiety is “dictated quite a lot of my life and career,” which makes her “feel sad.” However, the anxiety has also helped her to who she is today.

She wrote, “I know many of you would be asking how I am doing and often do not get a reply. I have been scared to admit that I am not good as I feel something is broken inside.”

Ellie continued, “This is nothing so many people have gone through. You may be going through it right now or might in the future. It is not you, not just me. I have to remind myself all the time. Crippled by anxiety.”

Ellie’s message to fans, “For those that are facing right now, we are together and can get through this. Most importantly by talking and opening up is the hardest and the best thing you can do.”

Ellie reminds readers that “life is a precious thing, and seeing Arthur grow every day gives me so much hope. Let us get through this together. 2022 is going to be a bright year. Positive energy. Together.”
