Reese’s cup lovers rejoice!! Which team are you—peanut butter or chocolate? Well if you are team peanut butter, you are gonna be over the moon about the announcement of a new Reese’s cup coming soon.
It really doesn’t matter if you are a fan of the sweet chocolaty goodness of the cup or the salty goodness of the peanut butter filling. Either way, you are sure to fall in love with the new Reese’s Lover’s cups. Available for a limited time only these candy confections are sure to please both the “Chocolate Lovers” and “Peanut Butter Lovers” equally.
What makes the newest version, of the age-old classic, so much better you may ask. Well, the cup is filled with even more of Reese’s delicious peanut butter, as well as the fact that the top layer of chocolate is replaced instead with a coating of a candy shell of peanut butter. So you won’t lose that chocolaty taste, that goes hand in hand with the peanut butter, the bottom layer of the cup is still made from chocolate.
Now, as for those who prefer more of the chocolaty goodness, don’ worry, Reese’s didn’t leave you out. According to a press release, the Reese’s Chocolate Lovers cups are pretty much the reverse of the Peanut Butter Lovers cups. These cups contain a more significant portion of the creamy milk chocolate, creating a thicker candy shell than before.
Both cups will be available, for your purchasing pleasure, beginning in mid-April, but only for a limited time. They will be available in Reese’s regular sized with a suggested retail price of $1.11, as well as a king size version available for $1.66.
In a campaign to kick off the launch of the new Reese’s flavors, a Swap Shop will be set up on Canal Street in New York on Tuesday, March 26th and Wednesday, March 27th. At this Swap Shop, Reese’s lovers can bring in “something they love for an early taste” of the candy. Per a press release “Reese’s fans can bring in anything they love from an old toaster to their original roller skates or even their last participation trophy.”
I am not sure about you, but I would probably just go the route of eating both versions at once, just to make sure I don’t miss out on even one delicious morsel. I mean…right?
