Disney currently has a strong grip on the box office with its many movies coming out this year. “Avengers: Endgame” is proving to be their most profitable movie of 2019 by far and we’re not even halfway through the year. There’s still the release of “Toy Story 4” on the horizon with rave review making it look like another winner for the summer. But what is sure to be of great interest as another box office giant is the sequel to Disney’s most popular and profitable animated film of the decade.
“Frozen 2” serves up a second helping of the iconic computer-animated musical adventure from 2013 that took the world by storm. The music, the characters, and the very fantastical outfits became the ultimate kid fantasy that families just couldn’t get away from hearing “Let It Go” everywhere they went. And now the latest trailer reveals what we’ll be in store for with the next chapter come this Thanksgiving. What this second trailer reveals is that we’ll learn more about Elsa and her unique past that led to her powers of snow and cold. All the familiar characters will return as well, from her sister Anna to the adventurer Kristoff to his trusty reindeer Sven to the comical snowman Olaf.
Check out the new trailer and read the synopsis below:
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she’ll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough. From the Academy Award®-winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.
