Summer is almost here and your wardrobe needs a little tune-up. Let’s be honest, you probably have some old t-shirts that you still love, but are “unacceptable” to wear out. Good news! In less than an hour you can create a whole new shirt that’s perfect for summer days – stylish, care-free, and it’s that same ol’ shirt you know and love. You don’t even have to be a crafty person to do this easy project!
First, you need to figure out what kind of design/look you’re going for. Do you just want to make a simple racer-back tank? Want to go more backless with a cool striped design? Or do a specific design? Once you’ve decided on your design, it’s time to find a template. There are a TON of templates you can print just by doing a simple google search online that will help you trace the design on your shirt – or if you are really artsy you can just trace it yourself! When your design is printed, cut where needed and place on the desired area of your shirt.
You are now ready to trace the design onto your shirt. For this part, you can use any type of fabric pen, chalk, or marker. Now comes the “hard” part of the project: cutting the shirt! Fabric scissors would be best, but as long as you have a good pair of sharp scissors, you will be all set. That’s it! You now have a new look to your old favorite t and you can make as many as you want, as different as you want!
